Tried the Sergeant's chicken in BKK and it's not bad. This time I passed by the Sergeant's chicken stall in the food court again. Though it's a bit full, I had to try it (photo 1). Super good - tender and juicy, rice not so greasy and the soup is with some dong qua. It's just S$6.5.
Later on my journey for food court continued to the middle part of Orchard Road - Orchard Central mall. As when I noticed a shop selling a HK's top 10 stir fried noodle - Singaporean stir fried rice noodle 星洲炒米. Seldom could I notice this HK style Singaporean dish in Singapore. However, the taste isn't the one we have tried in HK. This one lacks the curry aroma and fresh chili. It's rather a Fukien stir fried rice noodle, but when we think of the local Chinese heritage, Fukien food should be the essence of this type of Singaporean Chinese food. So the HK adaptation should just be with HK only.

I only like and expect Singapore Stirred Noodle to be the yellow color curry one with some green and red pepper. To me, this is the authentic and the original one. Others are all 2nd hand reproduction.
If in Chinese, when 星加波 changed to 新加波, 星洲炒米 is no longer referred to Singapore. So this 星洲炒米 may only just referred to a certain dish.
You are right Sea.
Just like Yang Chow Fried Rice not invented from Yang Chow too.
