Lao Bian dumpling shop 老邊餃子店

Gotta eat something local and Beijing dumpling is one of my favourites. This shop is just opposite to the Regent Hotel, but it's not that hotel style. It's quite an established shop in Wang Fu Jian.
1. Wild date juice is my favourite drink to go with the meal in Beijing. 2. the dining ware.
3. the table setting is quite classic. 4. Chewy flat noodle 拉皮 RMB15 (US$2). This one is getting popular in HK and it's originated from Si Chuan. Quite hot and spicy.

5. Cabbage tofu with debone spare ribs RMB28 (US$4). Quite family cooking style. The debone spare ribs made it easy to be taken together with other easy-to-swallow ingredients. 6. Hot and spicy chicken 口水鷄 RMB28 (US$4). Super hot but quite nice.

7. celery pork dumpling RMB15 (US$2). Freshly made to order. Very juicy inside and very aromatic. 8. pan fried parsley beef dumpling RMB22 (US$3). Surprised it's not that oily, unlike most others do. Recommend to try both of these 2 different cooking of dumplings.
