A new common pool is under way next to the main entrance. Very likely it is to cater for the guests request when they can't have a late check out but hope to have a place to stay. Look forward to it.

Level 3, Aleenta Phang Nga, Phuket
The restaurant offers a 3/4 course dinner set at THB1,420/1,950++ - 4 course covers 2 main courses. It looks pretty expensive but quality-wise, I am glad they gave what they charged. Ordered a Wagyu beef and a scallop as the main course. Both are very nice and fresh. On the appetitizers, I took the soft boiled duck egg on risotto in Hollandaise sauce. Impressive with the way they made the duck egg - silky smooth. The other appetitzer is tuna with seaweed in sweet soy sauce - not bad either. The only disappointment is the dessert but it's ok with me as I took many bread already to get a half full in the first round. Noted on the photos 3/4, it's their signature butter (herb and some truffle and sea salt as the black crust). Photo 5 is their amuse brouche - chilled cauliflower and squid soup. A very nice mix and good for chilling off the heat.

Sunday BBQ, the restaurant, Aleenta Phang Nga, Phuket
Came here at around 8pm and there were only 3 tables including mine. Strange that the whole resort was quite full (about 50 to 60 guests in total). Though it's nothing to help a lot, I felt that I needed to give it a support and so to try this solitude buffet as the guests at the other 2 tables left at 8:30pm. The food wasn't bad, much better than the dinner I had at the previous night. The buffet was about THB1,250++. At least some pretty fresh seafood were served.

Biking from Aleenta to Hot Spring resort, Phang Nga
This time I further my biking ride onto Hot Spring resort (9km from Aleenta). The ride was very scenic and I was glad to see more expansion of Mai Khao Dream resort Natai. On my way back, I stopped for an ice cream bar.

The restaurant, Aleenta Phang Nga, Phuket
The menu has been modified to focus on a variety of curry, Thai appetizers, steak and seafood, and also with an increase of 30% as compared to 1.5 years ago. For example, a meal like the below for 2 cost about THB1,800. Very disappointing that the food given wasn't justified with the price we paid. The prawn and the fish were marinated pretty much to be kept fresh. Sorry any seafood marinated for a long time would give a strange "protein rotten" smelly. Better get the room services for a Pad Thai or fried rice. Then a strange thing is that the French restaurant on the level 3 (just 2 storey above this restaurant) is another story, though it's even more pricey. To be posted later...
