Happy that I could check around this airport city area during day time, as in the past several times I could have just arrived very late at night and departed very early in the next morning. The city seems to grow rapidly with a series of modern housing estates. Also noted is that there are quite some Chinese investments.

Yes, like Yuen Long and Yuen Long in the 70's, not now, as Yuen Long is too modernised.
You are right Yuen Long and ShaTin now shall look different now.
