The marketing of a company can always be seen as in what signature products or services they can impress their customers. in 1997, Eva Air served congee in economy class. In 2000, CX boiled fresh rice for first class passengers. So on and so on so many other gimmicks of attracting more customers. Serving congee and cooking rice are very low cost but it makes a whole lot difference of the branding image. So when HK Airlines HX claimed they made a deal with Tai Hing for serving Tai Hing's famous milk tea, it served the same purpose to make a name.
I do hope that the rumours are rumours on HX. Sometimes it's really awful for rumours spreading out and loud enough to make a false claim come true. That's the grey area of social responsibility and the so-called freedom of speech.
