Even though I have seen many photos and pictures, I am thrilled to see such a scenic lake and get to know why it is a cradle for so many renowned poets and artists. Also, there are so many well known songs or related names from this lake, e.g. 平湖秋月 南屏晚鐘 斷橋殘雪 三潭印月 曲院風荷. The trees, especially the willow make the lake even more scenic and poetic.
