This place simply reminds me of the time where my grand ma used to work on the water village, before the big fire swept that away. Aldrich Bay was then transformed into a place for high rise Government houses and some luxury mansions.
These jetty pier with water quarters almost were gone until some local residents decided to commercialise the place to convert the place into something be preserved. Though the by-product is the noisy tourists, it at least revived the place to attract UNESCO to give it a credit for George Town.
