Due to a night flight arriving at Maldives, it would be good to spend the first night at some budget hotel in order to make your trip more economically balanced off the higher price of the resort room. There are a no. of budget hotels along the east coast of the Airport island (about 10 min. driving time). This room is about US$70-80 including ABF. Though the ABF isn't too appealing, at least there are some fresh fruits.
