Kia Nguan Mahachai seafood, Siam 1, Siam Square, BKK

The newly opened Siam 1 mall offers a lot of choices from standard chain restaurants to some expanded branches from the other parts of country.  Kia Nguan is the one in this mall.  The shop has a promo offer for a bargain deep fried fish at THB199 if the total bill is over THB600 per table.  Really not a hurdle for a group of 3-4.  All the dishes we had were quite nice.  Their tom yam soup reminded me of the one I tried in Pak Kret so many years ago - more salty, sour, and not to the sweet side.  It's good to have a local Thai restaurant in Siam square.
