Renovated Male Int'l Airport, Maldives

Last year when I first got into this airport, I felt like I was in the ferry pier of Cheung Chau.  Over a year something of renovation, Male Airport has become a total face lift.  Noted is the resort counters (almost every resort has a counter) in aisles outside the exit of the customs.  Further noted is a pleasant Thai touch of the Coffee Club and Thai Express fast food shop (apparently from the mother group of Anantara which has a strong presence in Maldives).  The lounge inside the airpot is also very nice and surprisingly Malaysia Airlines has a very secluded lounge with Plaza Premium (a HK run airport lounge).  Also noticed there are more and more flights between HK and Maldives, besides MH, SQ, UL (Air Lanka) on 1 stop flight, Mega (Maldives), HK Airline and CX have direct flights.
