Peak Cafe (down to the hillside), Shelly Street, mid-level, Central, HK

In the early days (in the 60's and 70's), there were a no. of iconic western cafe getting popular due to their classic cuisine with colonial and local food characteristics (or we can apply for the modern term - fusion).  Peak Cafe is no stranger to our seniors who had their loving memory at the peak.  However, going to the Peak Cafe is not that convenient if you don't drive.  A few years ago, this iconic cafe went down on the hill and opened its sister branch on Shelly Street (the mid-section of Central Escalator) in the Soho area.  Personally I don't like checking around in Soho area after the smoking got banned indoor and that we are now more vulnerable to those third parties' smoke.  In this connection, I hope that HK can follow Japan on setting a restricted area for smokers in the public area as well as no smoking for smokers who walk (as that would bother the people behind).
Back to this restaurant, I couldn't run away from smelling somebody's smoke as the wind brought such smoke in.  Quite annoying indeed.  So I asked to change to another table even closer to the kitchen. The food in general is pretty nice, especially the stir fired beef filet with mixed veggie with steamed rice (photo 3).  The pizza is not bad either and I like more veggie on the pizza.  The salad is in a light lemon olive oil (interesting recently I had the similar salad dressing - the other one at Berliners Wanchai).

Thank you Sea.
My friend just told me all the restuants in Lan Kwai Fong are very expensive and not worth it.
