定山溪, Jozankei, Hokkaido

On my first trip to Hokkaido, I took a bus ride back from Lake Toya to Sapporo.  On the way, the bus passed by this place.  Certainly this name is not a stranger to anyone who know Hokkaido.  There are a number of high rise resort buildings on the 2 sides of this stream.  In the night time, with the hot steam from the hot spring, the scene is so spectacular that I really found myself not standing on Earth.

I also find most of the Japanese names, street, city...etc. are quite literate. There are some towns in Hokkaido as "登別,室蘭,層雲峽⋯⋯
