Remember where the old Chiu Chow Garden is in Causeway Bay? Back then it was together with Peking Garden and Maxim's restaurant. It was then gone when the old Mitsukoshi was gone. After a decade, Chiu Chow Garden came back to Causeway Bay at the Causeway Plaza II with its sister neighbour Jade Garden. Came here on their first day grand opening. This time I tried their soaked octopus slices. Very nice and tender but not too salty. The "spring" veggie spare rib soup and the stir fried pig's belly are also good. Happy to have this restaurant back to Causeway Bay. At least, there is something different from the flooding pharmacies, jewellery shops and cosmetics store chains.

We don't have even one Chiu Chow Restaurant in LA but lots of Shanghai ones.
I was told by my customer no more Maxim is this true or they just moved so my customer cannot find it?
Maxim's Chinese restaurants are still here. The most popular one is still the one in City Hall that some very nice shrimp dumpling is the talk of the town, though I haven't tried that recently. So the branches are:

Wow very detailed info.
Thank you Sea for the note.
Glad to hear that Maxim is still there.
If time permits, we should go try the shrimp dumpling from Maxim's City Hall.
