Chose this hotel because of its convenient location within 5 to 10 minute walking distance to the north of the Train station, east to the main shopping street or to the south on the beach road. Besides the rooms are being renovated and I got a newly decorated room. In Cannes and Nice Mercure and Suite hotel under the Accor group are moderately priced (around Euros 100-180, depending on the trade fair show season) but with pretty good service and the room amenities are not bad. This time I even found out they had a complimentary travel bag with 2 bottles of Evian water and some snack. Though these aren't expensive, it gave the visitors a warm welcome. At least, I'll choose Mercure for my future stay in Southern France.

I like the decoration in the room; so cheerful.
The little things sometimes can mean a lot when it comes to warm customer service.
Yes the complimentary little gift is very "tip sum" although it does not cost much.
Yes, but somehow not many hotels understand this part, nor get to see it.
